Job Summary

The Heavy-Duty Truck Driver is responsible for transporting materials, equipment, and supplies to and from various locations, ensuring timely and safe delivery to support oil and gas and construction operations. This role requires adherence to strict safety protocols and excellent vehicle maintenance practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate heavy-duty trucks to transport construction materials, oil and gas equipment, and other heavy loads.
  • Ensure the secure loading and unloading of cargo to prevent damage during transit.
  • Conduct routine inspections of vehicles before and after trips to identify potential issues.
  • Perform minor troubleshooting and coordinate with the maintenance team for repairs and servicing.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
  • Adhere to company and industry road safety standards, including driving regulations and load limits.
  • Follow all environmental and safety protocols, particularly when transporting hazardous materials.
  • Ensure compliance with all state, national, and international transportation regulations where applicable.
  • Maintain and update transportation logs, trip reports, and fuel records.
  • Communicate with dispatchers and supervisors regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience as a heavy-duty truck driver, preferably in oil and gas or construction industries.
  • Proven expertise in long-haul and local transportation.
  • Valid heavy-duty truck driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair practices.
  • Excellent road safety awareness.
  • Ability to navigate complex routes
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • High level of professionalism and reliability.
