After-Sales Technician Supervisor (Duka/LD)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Technology, or a related field.
  • COREN, PMP, or relevant certification.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in after-sales services, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role within the automotive industry.

Skills:

  • Strong technical knowledge of automotive systems and repair techniques.
  • Excellent diagnostic, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in automotive diagnostic software and tools.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of the Nigerian automotive market and after-sales service practices is an advantage.

Role Description: The After-Sales Technician Supervisor will oversee and manage all after-sales technical support activities within our automobile company. This role is crucial for ensuring that all technical issues, repairs, and maintenance services are handled efficiently, cost-effectively, and in a timely manner to support customer satisfaction and loyalty. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, excellent technical skills, and extensive experience in after-sales services within the automotive industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Supervision:

    • Oversee and manage the daily operations of the after-sales technician team.
    • Ensure all repair and maintenance tasks are performed to the highest quality standards.
    • Diagnose complex technical issues and provide guidance to technicians for effective resolution.
  • Customer Service:

    • Ensure timely and effective resolution of customer complaints and service requests.
    • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by delivering excellent after-sales support.
    • Communicate with customers to provide updates on service progress and ensure clarity on technical issues.
  • Team Leadership:

    • Lead, mentor, and motivate the after-sales technician team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
    • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
    • Identify training needs and coordinate training sessions to enhance team skills and knowledge.
  • Process Improvement:

    • Develop and implement after-sales service policies, procedures, and standards to streamline operations and improve service quality.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement effective solutions.
  • Inventory Management:

    • Work closely with the inventory management team to ensure availability of necessary spare parts and tools.
    • Monitor and maintain accurate records of all tools and equipment used in after-sales services.
  • Quality Assurance:

    • Implement quality assurance measures to maintain high service standards.
    • Conduct regular audits of service activities to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Reporting and Analysis:

    • Prepare and analyze after-sales service reports to track performance metrics and identify trends.
    • Make data-driven recommendations for improving after-sales service operations.
  • Compliance and Risk Management:

    • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and company policies.
    • Identify and mitigate risks related to after-sales services, including safety and quality issues.
    • Implement measures to safeguard tools and equipment against theft, damage, or loss.
