Minimum Qualifications:

  • Diploma or degree in Automotive Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in automotive repair and maintenance.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of automotive repair techniques and diagnostic tools.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in using automotive diagnostic equipment and tools.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of the Nigerian automotive market and repair practices is an advantage.

Role Description: The Workmen Officer will assist the Technical Lead Supervisor in overseeing and managing all technical operations within our workshop. This role is crucial for ensuring that all repair and maintenance services are carried out efficiently, cost-effectively, and to the highest standards to support overall performance and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent attention to detail, and experience in automotive repair and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Operations Support:

    • Assist in implementing technical strategies to ensure efficient and effective workshop operations.
    • Support the supervision of technical staff and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures.
    • Continuously assist in evaluating and improving workshop processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Repair and Maintenance Assistance:

    • Aid in all repair and maintenance activities, ensuring quality and timely completion.
    • Ensure that all diagnostic tools and equipment are properly maintained and utilized.
    • Assist in implementing measures to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of repair and maintenance work.
  • Inventory Control:

    • Assist in managing inventory levels to ensure the availability of necessary spare parts and materials.
    • Maintain accurate records of all inventories, including receiving, storing, and issuing materials.
    • Conduct regular audits and reconciliations to prevent discrepancies and ensure accuracy.
  • Safety and Compliance:

    • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and company policies.
    • Assist in identifying and mitigating safety risks within the workshop.
    • Implement and maintain safety measures to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Team Collaboration:

    • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the technical team.
    • Provide support and assistance to team members to achieve departmental goals.
    • Participate in performance reviews and identify development opportunities for team members.
