Account Officer

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • ACA, ACCA, CIA, CPA, ICAN, CFA, CITN, or related certifications.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with at least 3 years in a managerial role within the automotive industry.
  • Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is highly desirable.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of financial principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in financial software applications and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships.

Role Description: The Account Officer will be responsible for managing all financial transactions and relationships with key stakeholders within our automobile company. This role is pivotal in ensuring financial integrity, transparency, and efficiency in financial operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial acumen, excellent interpersonal skills, and a proven track record in financial management within the automotive industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Management:

    • Oversee all financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
    • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to management and stakeholders.
    • Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Stakeholder Relations:

    • Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, clients, and internal departments.
    • Coordinate financial matters and provide financial insights to support decision-making processes.
    • Address financial inquiries and issues from stakeholders promptly and effectively.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting:

    • Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
    • Monitor budget variances and provide analysis to support budget management decisions.
    • Implement cost control measures and initiatives to optimize financial performance.
  • Audit and Compliance:

    • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, standards, and company policies.
    • Coordinate external audits and ensure timely submission of audit requirements.
    • Implement measures to mitigate financial risks and ensure adherence to best practices.
  • Financial Analysis:

    • Conduct financial analysis and prepare reports on financial performance and trends.
    • Provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis to support strategic initiatives.
    • Identify opportunities for financial improvements and cost savings.
  • Team Collaboration:

    • Collaborate with the finance team and other departments to achieve company financial goals.
    • Mentor and guide junior finance staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
