Assembly Line Manager, Heavy Duty

Minimum Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Certifications in COREN, NSE or related professional body.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in assembly line management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the automotive industry, preferably in heavy-duty vehicles.

Skills:

  • Proven track record of optimizing production processes and improving efficiency.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent analytical abilities and attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in assembly line management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • In-depth knowledge of assembly line processes and industry trends.

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Assembly Line Manager for our Heavy-Duty division. This critical leadership role involves overseeing the assembly line operations for our heavy-duty automotive products. The ideal candidate will possess strong operational acumen, leadership skills, and extensive knowledge of assembly line processes and the automotive industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Assembly Line Management:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the heavy-duty assembly line to ensure efficient and effective production.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize production processes and improve productivity.
  • Monitor production schedules and ensure timely completion of tasks.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the assembly line team to achieve high performance.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback and coaching.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.

Quality Control:

  • Ensure all products meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Implement quality control measures and perform regular inspections.
  • Address and resolve any quality issues promptly and effectively.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.
  • Analyze production data and metrics to identify areas for enhancement.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

Health and Safety:

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Promote a safe working environment and conduct regular safety audits.
  • Address and mitigate any safety hazards or incidents.

Resource Management:

  • Manage resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, to ensure optimal utilization.
  • Develop and manage the assembly line budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources.
  • Monitor expenses and implement cost-control measures.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of production activities, metrics, and incidents.
  • Provide timely and accurate reports to senior management on production performance and issues.
  • Ensure proper documentation of assembly line processes and procedures.
