Minimum Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Certifications in COREN, NSE or related professional body.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in automotive manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.

Skills:

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Proficiency in production management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

In-depth knowledge of automotive assembly processes and quality standards

 

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assembly Line Supervisor for our Duka/Light-Duty segment in an automotive company. This pivotal role involves managing and optimizing the assembly line operations to ensure high-quality production and efficient workflow. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, technical knowledge of automotive assembly processes, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Assembly Line Management:

Oversee day-to-day operations of the assembly line for Duka/Light-Duty vehicles.

Ensure production targets and quality standards are met.

Identify and resolve operational issues promptly.

Team Leadership:

Lead, train, and motivate the assembly line team to achieve high performance.

Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.

Foster a positive and safe work environment.

Process Optimization:

Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency.

Analyze workflow and processes to identify areas for improvement.

Collaborate with engineering and production planning teams to optimize operations.

Quality Assurance:

Ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications.

Conduct regular inspections and audits of assembly processes.

Address and rectify quality issues in a timely manner.

Safety and Compliance:

Enforce safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment.

Maintain compliance with industry regulations and company policies.

Conduct safety training and drills for the assembly line team.

Inventory and Resource Management:

Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely availability of materials.

Coordinate with the procurement team for supply chain management.

Manage resource allocation to meet production demands.

Reporting and Documentation:

Maintain accurate records of production activities, performance metrics, and incidents.

Prepare and present reports to senior management on assembly line performance.

Ensure proper documentation of processes and procedures.
