Audit and Compliance Officer

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional qualification: ACA, ACCA, CIA, CPA, ICAN, CFA, CITN, or related certifications.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in audit and compliance, preferably within the automotive industry.

Skills:

  • Professional certification such as CPA, CIA, or CISA is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Audit Planning and Execution:

    • Develop and implement comprehensive audit plans and programs.
    • Conduct regular audits of financial and operational processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
    • Identify areas of risk and recommend corrective actions to mitigate them.
  • Regulatory Compliance:

    • Ensure the company adheres to all relevant industry regulations and standards.
    • Monitor changes in regulations and update company policies and procedures accordingly.
    • Conduct compliance training sessions for employees to promote awareness and adherence to regulations.
  • Internal Controls:

    • Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and recommend improvements.
    • Develop and implement internal control policies and procedures.
    • Monitor compliance with internal control guidelines and report any deviations.
  • Risk Management:

    • Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
    • Conduct risk assessments and implement risk management frameworks.
    • Monitor and report on risk management activities and outcomes.
  • Reporting and Documentation:

    • Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings to senior management.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of audit activities and compliance issues.
    • Provide timely and accurate reports on compliance status and audit results.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:

    • Collaborate with various departments to ensure compliance with audit findings and recommendations.
    • Work with external auditors and regulatory bodies during audits and inspections.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to promote a culture of compliance.
