Automotive Group Finance Manager

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional qualification: ACA, ACCA, CIA, CPA, ICAN, CFA, CITN, or related certifications.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the automotive industry.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of financial best practices and accounting principles.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of the Nigerian automotive market and financial practices is an advantage.

Role Description: The Automotive Group Finance Manager will oversee and manage all financial activities within our automobile company. This role is crucial for ensuring that all financial operations, reporting, and strategic planning are conducted efficiently, cost-effectively, and in compliance with regulations to support production and operations. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, excellent financial acumen, and extensive experience in finance within the automotive industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Strategy and Planning:

    • Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company’s objectives.
    • Establish long-term financial goals and create comprehensive financial plans to achieve them.
    • Continuously evaluate and improve financial processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis:

    • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
    • Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making and strategic planning.
    • Monitor financial performance and address any issues promptly to ensure financial health.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting:

    • Develop and manage the company’s budget to ensure cost-effective operations.
    • Track and report on budget performance, identifying opportunities for cost savings.
    • Implement cost reduction initiatives without compromising quality or operational efficiency.
  • Audit and Compliance:

    • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, standards, and company policies.
    • Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies to ensure accurate and compliant financial reporting.
    • Conduct regular audits and reconciliations to prevent discrepancies and ensure accuracy.
  • Risk Management:

    • Identify and mitigate financial risks, including market fluctuations and regulatory changes.
    • Implement measures to safeguard the company’s financial assets against theft, fraud, or loss.
  • Team Leadership:

    • Lead and mentor the finance team, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental goals.
