Dealer Channels Sales/Spare Parts Manager

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, or a related field.
  • NIMN, ISMMN certification, or other related certification.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales, with at least 3 years in a managerial role within the automotive industry.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of spare parts sales and distribution best practices.
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in sales software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of the Nigerian automotive market and dealer channel practices is an advantage.

Role Description: The Dealer Channels Sales/Spare Parts Manager will oversee and manage the sales and distribution of spare parts through dealer channels. This role is crucial for ensuring that spare parts are available to dealers and customers in a timely and cost-effective manner, supporting the overall after-sales service. The ideal candidate will have strong sales abilities, excellent relationship management skills, and extensive experience in spare parts management within the automotive industry. Reporting to the After-Sales Manager, this position requires strong leadership to drive sales performance and ensure high standards of service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dealer Channel Management:

    • Develop and implement sales strategies to increase spare parts sales through dealer channels.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with dealers to ensure effective distribution of spare parts.
    • Monitor dealer performance and provide support to improve sales and service levels.
  • Sales Management:

    • Identify new sales opportunities and develop plans to capture market share.
    • Set sales targets and monitor progress to ensure objectives are met.
    • Conduct regular sales reviews and provide feedback to the team to improve performance.
  • Inventory Control:

    • Work closely with the inventory management team to maintain optimal stock levels of spare parts.
    • Ensure accurate records of all inventories, including receiving, storing, and issuing parts.
    • Conduct regular audits and reconciliations to prevent discrepancies and ensure accuracy.
  • Customer Service:

    • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by providing timely and effective solutions to dealer and customer inquiries.
    • Handle escalated customer issues and complaints professionally.
    • Implement measures to enhance the overall customer experience.
  • Team Leadership:

    • Lead and mentor the Dealer Channels Sales/Spare Parts team, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental goals.
    • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team.
    • Conduct performance reviews and identify development opportunities for team members.
  • Budget and Cost Management:

    • Develop and manage the sales budget to ensure cost-effective operations.
    • Track and report on sales expenditures, identifying opportunities for cost savings.
    • Implement cost reduction initiatives without compromising quality or delivery timelines.
  • Compliance and Risk Management:

    • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and company policies.
    • Identify and mitigate sales and distribution risks, including supply chain disruptions and quality issues.
    • Implement measures to safeguard parts against theft, damage, or loss.
