DUKA/Light Duty Technical Support Field Officer

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Technology, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in vehicle maintenance and repair.

Skills:

  • Strong technical knowledge of DUKA and Light Duty vehicles and diagnostic procedures.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in diagnostic tools and software.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of the Nigerian automotive market and technical support practices is an advantage.

Role Description: The DUKA/Light Duty Technical Support Field Officer will provide on-site technical support and maintenance services for DUKA and Light Duty vehicles. This role is essential for ensuring that customers receive timely and effective technical assistance, minimizing vehicle downtime. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and experience in vehicle repair and maintenance. Reporting to the DUKA/Light Duty Technical Support Supervisor, this position requires a proactive approach to resolving technical issues and maintaining high standards of service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Support and Maintenance:

    • Provide on-site technical support and maintenance services for DUKA and Light Duty vehicles.
    • Diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently to minimize vehicle downtime.
    • Perform routine maintenance and repairs according to manufacturer specifications and company standards.
  • Customer Service:

    • Respond to customer service requests promptly and professionally.
    • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by providing effective solutions and support.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, addressing their technical concerns and needs.
  • Documentation and Reporting:

    • Maintain accurate records of all service and maintenance activities.
    • Prepare detailed reports on technical issues, resolutions, and maintenance performed.
    • Communicate effectively with the DUKA/Light Duty Technical Support Supervisor regarding ongoing issues and updates.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance:

    • Ensure all maintenance and repair work complies with relevant regulations, standards, and company policies.
    • Implement quality control measures to ensure high standards of technical support and maintenance.
    • Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain service quality.
  • Training and Development:

    • Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
    • Stay updated on the latest advancements in DUKA and Light Duty vehicle technology and repair techniques.
    • Share knowledge and best practices with team members to improve overall service quality.
