Heavy-Duty Technical Support Field Officer

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Technology, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy-duty vehicle maintenance and repair.

Skills:

  • Strong technical knowledge of heavy-duty vehicles and diagnostic procedures.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in diagnostic tools and software.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of the Nigerian automotive market and technical support practices is an advantage.

Role Description: The Heavy-Duty Technical Support Field Officer will provide on-site technical support and maintenance services for heavy-duty vehicles. This role is essential for ensuring that our customers receive timely and effective technical assistance, minimizing vehicle downtime. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and experience in heavy-duty vehicle repair and maintenance. Reporting to the Heavy-Duty Technical Support Field Supervisor, this position requires a proactive approach to resolving technical issues and maintaining high standards of service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Support and Maintenance:

    • Provide on-site technical support and maintenance services for heavy-duty vehicles.
    • Diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently to minimize vehicle downtime.
    • Perform routine maintenance and repairs according to manufacturer specifications and company standards.
  • Customer Service:

    • Respond to customer service requests promptly and professionally.
    • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by providing effective solutions and support.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, addressing their technical concerns and needs.
  • Documentation and Reporting:

    • Maintain accurate records of all service and maintenance activities.
    • Prepare detailed reports on technical issues, resolutions, and maintenance performed.
    • Communicate effectively with the Heavy-Duty Technical Support Field Supervisor regarding ongoing issues and updates.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance:

    • Ensure all maintenance and repair work complies with relevant regulations, standards, and company policies.
    • Implement quality control measures to ensure high standards of technical support and maintenance.
    • Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain service quality.
  • Training and Development:

    • Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
    • Stay updated on the latest advancements in heavy-duty vehicle technology and repair techniques.
    • Share knowledge and best practices with team members to improve overall service quality.
