We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Human Resource Manager to join our HR Consulting firm based in Abuja. As the Human Resource Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources within the organization, ensuring the effective management and development of our human capital.

Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment and Selection:
  • Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies and processes.
  • Coordinate the recruitment and selection process, including job postings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and selecting candidates.
  • Collaborate with department managers to identify staffing needs and ensure timely filling of vacancies.
  • Manage the onboarding and orientation process for new employees.
Employee Relations:
  • Promote positive employee relations and maintain a harmonious work environment.
  • Handle employee grievances and provide guidance on conflict resolution.
  • Monitor employee morale and engagement, and implement strategies to improve employee satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
Performance Management:
  • Develop and implement performance management systems, including goal setting, performance reviews, and feedback mechanisms.
  • Provide guidance to managers on performance-related issues and assist in creating development plans for employees.
  • Conduct training sessions on performance management and provide support to employees and managers.
Compensation and Benefits:
  • Oversee the administration of compensation and benefits programs.
  • Conduct salary surveys and market analysis to ensure competitive compensation packages.
  • Manage employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
  • Review and update the company’s compensation and benefits policies as needed.
Training and Development:
  • Identify training needs within the organization and develop training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • Coordinate the delivery of training sessions and workshops.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement.
HR Policies and Procedures:
  • Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements and maintain up-to-date knowledge of labor laws and regulations.
  • Advise management on HR-related matters and provide guidance on policy interpretation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A master’s degree would be an advantage.
  • Proven work experience as an HR Manager or in a similar role in the HR consulting industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of Nigerian labor laws and regulations.
  • Strong understanding of HR best practices and current trends in human resources.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and leadership abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in using HR software and systems
