JOB DESCRIPTION/QUALIFICATIONS:
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced School Administrator (Female) to join our prestigious British international school. With a Master’s degree in Education and in-depth knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, you will play a critical role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the school. Your expertise in educational leadership, administrative management, and understanding of British curriculum standards will contribute to creating a nurturing and enriching learning environment for our students.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide strategic leadership and management oversight for all aspects of the school’s operations, ensuring adherence to the British curriculum and educational standards. Collaborate with the senior leadership team to develop and implement school policies, procedures, and improvement plans aligned with the school’s vision and mission. Oversee the implementation of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, ensuring highquality teaching and learning experiences for early years students. Monitor and evaluate the performance of teaching staff, providing guidance, mentoring, and professional development opportunities to support their growth and effectiveness. Supervise and support administrative staff, ensuring smooth and efficient school operations, including admissions, student records, scheduling, and facilities management. Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and the wider school community, addressing concerns, providing support, and promoting open communication channels. Coordinate and oversee student assessment and reporting processes, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of student progress to parents/guardians. Collaborate with external examination bodies to ensure compliance with examination requirements, scheduling exams, and supporting students through the examination process. Monitor and manage the school’s budget, working closely with the finance team to ensure prudent financial management and resource allocation. Support the recruitment and selection process for teaching and non-teaching staff, conducting interviews, reviewing applications, and making hiring recommendations. Collaborate with the marketing and admissions team to promote the school, participate in recruitment events, and attract prospective students. Stay updated on educational best practices, curriculum developments, and changes in British educational standards, incorporating relevant knowledge into school policies and practices. Maintain a safe and secure learning environment, overseeing health and safety procedures, emergency preparedness, and risk management. Ensure compliance with local education regulations, laws, and accreditation requirements, liaising with relevant authorities as needed. Act as a role model and advocate for the school’s values, fostering a positive and inclusive school culture that promotes academic excellence, personal growth, and well-being.
REQUIREMENTS:
Master’s degree in Education or a related field is required. Additional qualifications and certifications in educational leadership and administration are preferred. Minimum of 8 years of experience in a primary British international school, with a focus on educational administration and leadership. In-depth knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum and a strong understanding of British educational standards and assessment practices. Demonstrated experience in school administration, including overseeing academic programs, staff management, and school operations. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate staff, students, and parents. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Effective communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to interact with diverse stakeholders in a professional and empathetic manner. Familiarity with educational technology tools and their integration into teaching and learning processes. Knowledge of local educational regulations and compliance requirements in Nigeria.
