Regional/Branch Sales Manager

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • NIMN, ISMMN certification or other related certification.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the automotive industry.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of sales strategies, market analysis, and customer relationship management.
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in sales software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of the Nigerian automotive market and sales practices is an advantage.

Role Description: The Regional/Branch Sales Manager will oversee and manage all sales activities within their assigned region or branch. This role is crucial for driving sales growth, achieving sales targets, and ensuring excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, excellent sales and negotiation skills, and extensive experience in the automotive industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy Development:

    • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve sales targets and increase market share.
    • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth.
    • Adjust sales strategies based on market conditions and customer feedback.
  • Team Management:

    • Lead and mentor the sales team, providing guidance and support to achieve sales goals.
    • Conduct performance reviews and identify development opportunities for team members.
    • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team.
  • Customer Relationship Management:

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
    • Ensure excellent customer service and address any customer issues promptly.
    • Develop strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Sales Performance Monitoring:

    • Monitor sales performance and provide regular reports to the Regional/Branch Manager.
    • Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
    • Implement corrective actions to address any performance gaps.
  • Marketing and Promotion:

    • Coordinate with the marketing team to develop and execute promotional campaigns.
    • Organize and participate in sales events, exhibitions, and other marketing activities.
    • Ensure effective use of marketing materials and resources.
  • Inventory Management:

    • Work closely with the inventory management team to ensure adequate stock levels.
    • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to prevent stockouts.
    • Implement measures to reduce inventory costs and improve turnover rates.
  • Budget Management:

    • Develop and manage the sales budget for the region or branch.
    • Monitor expenses and ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines.
    • Identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue generation.
  • Compliance and Risk Management:

    • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and company policies.
    • Identify and mitigate sales-related risks.
    • Implement measures to safeguard assets and prevent fraud.
