Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • NIMN, ISMMN certification or other related certification.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in automotive sales or a related field.

Skills:

  • Strong sales skills with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of the Nigerian automotive market is an advantage.

Role Description: The Salesman will be responsible for selling vehicles and related services within our showroom, ensuring excellent customer service, and achieving sales targets. Reporting to the Showroom Manager, this role is essential for driving sales performance and maintaining customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, a passion for automobiles, and proven experience in sales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales and Customer Service:

    • Greet and assist customers in the showroom, providing detailed information about vehicles and services.
    • Understand customer needs and recommend appropriate vehicle options.
    • Conduct test drives and explain vehicle features and benefits to customers.
    • Follow up with prospective customers and maintain a robust customer relationship management (CRM) system.
  • Sales Targets Achievement:

    • Achieve individual sales targets as set by the Showroom Manager.
    • Participate in sales meetings and contribute ideas for improving sales performance.
    • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new sales opportunities.
  • Documentation and Compliance:

    • Prepare and process all necessary sales documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
    • Coordinate with the finance and insurance departments to facilitate the sales process.
    • Ensure all customer interactions and transactions are documented accurately in the CRM system.
  • Showroom Maintenance:

    • Ensure vehicles are displayed attractively and maintained in excellent condition.
    • Assist in organizing and setting up promotional events and showroom displays.
    • Keep the showroom area clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
  • Product Knowledge:

    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all vehicles and related services offered by the company.
    • Attend training sessions and product launches to stay informed about new models and features.
    • Educate customers about vehicle features, benefits, and technical specifications.
  • Customer Feedback and Improvement:

    • Solicit and analyze customer feedback to identify areas for improvement in sales processes.
    • Address customer complaints promptly and professionally, escalating issues to the Showroom Manager when necessary.
    • Contribute to a positive customer experience to enhance the company’s reputation.
