Spare Parts Operations and Trading Manager

Job Summary:

The Spare Parts Operations and Trading Manager will oversee the efficient management and trading of spare parts within our automobile company. This role is essential for ensuring the availability of spare parts, optimizing inventory levels, and driving profitable trading activities. The ideal candidate will have strong operational skills, in-depth knowledge of spare parts management, and a proven track record in the automotive industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Operations Management:

o Develop and implement efficient spare parts management processes.

o Ensure timely procurement, storage, and distribution of spare parts.

o Optimize inventory levels to minimize costs and meet customer demand.

  1. Trading Activities:

o Drive the trading of spare parts to maximize profitability.

o Identify and establish relationships with suppliers and customers.

o Negotiate favorable terms and pricing agreements.

  1. Inventory Control:

o Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent stockouts and overstock situations.

o Conduct regular audits and reconciliations of inventory.

o Utilize inventory management software for accurate tracking and reporting.

  1. Supplier Management:

o Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.

o Evaluate supplier performance and negotiate contracts.

o Ensure the timely delivery and quality of spare parts.

  1. Customer Support:

o Collaborate with the customer service team to address spare parts inquiries and issues.

o Provide technical support and expertise to customers.

o Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.

  1. Market Analysis:

o Conduct market research to identify trends, demand patterns, and competitive landscape.

o Analyze sales data and performance metrics to inform decision-making.

o Prepare regular reports on spare parts operations and trading activities.

  1. Team Leadership:

o Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations and trading team.

o Foster a collaborative and efficient team environment.

o Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.

* Minimum of 10 years of experience in spare parts management or operations and at least 3 years in a supervisory role within the automobile industry.

* Strong knowledge of spare parts procurement, inventory management, and trading practices.

* Proven ability to manage and optimize spare parts operations.

* Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.

* Proficiency in inventory management software and tools.

* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
